7 Jul Timing Market Tops & Bottoms
SynopsisAs an investor, I spent many years pursuing the aim of finding a way to pick market tops and bottoms. It is fine to buy and hold, but buying at market tops may not give the best returns, and selling at market bottoms also does not yield good value. What is needed is a technique to reliably pick market tops and bottoms for the longer term. About 15 years ago, I created a method to achieve this aim by using a variation of the Directional Movement Index (DMI) by Welles Wilder, the famed pioneer in technical analysis. Using adapted versions of the +DI and -DI lines in a new and different way, I found that it is possible to pick market tops & bottoms. Extending the adapted +DI and -DI lines into the Weekly, Monthly and Quarterly charts allows the investor to potentially pick longer term market tops and bottoms. I have used the “Triple DMI” indicator that I created for the past 15 years; and the method has been published in a book entitled “Market Timing for the Investor” in 2019.

17 Mar Buying the Dip: Master the Art of the Pullback
SynopsisGlobal equity markets have enjoyed a sustained bull run over the last two years. If you missed the initial surge in leaders like DBS in early 2024, chasing the price now can feel like a high-risk gamble. While traditional momentum indicators often "run hot" in these environments, there is a more calculated way to join the trend. In this session, we move beyond the FOMO (Fear of Missing Out) and dive into the mechanics of the retracement. The speaker will reveal three high-probability pullback strategies designed to help you enter an established uptrend with a favorable risk-to-reward ratio. Additionally, we will explore market time cycles to understand not just where to buy, but how long the current window of opportunity may last.
